What time is check-in?
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM. All check-ins are self check-in unless a special request has been made in advance.
How does self check-in work?
Prior to your arrival, we’ll provide detailed self check-in instructions along with all the pertinent information you’ll need for your stay. We’ll also include photos to help guide you to your room.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is at 11:00 AM.
Is late check-out available?
Yes. Guests may check out as late as 12:00 PM at no additional charge.
Is housekeeping included?
Yes. Housekeeping is provided every two weeks, unless otherwise specified in your reservation or stay details.
What is your cancellation policy?
Reservations may be prepaid by check or major credit card. Cancellations made less than 3 days prior to arrival are subject to the full reservation charge, unless we are able to re-sell the room.
All cancellations may also be subject to a $25 accounting fee.
These policies are important to the management of our small country hotel and allow us to provide the best possible experience for our guests.
Is there a different cancellation policy for Cornell University graduation?
Yes. Reservations made for Cornell University graduation are subject to a 90-day cancellation policy.
How close is the Groton Hotel to Ithaca, Cortland, Cornell, and the Finger Lakes?
The Groton Hotel is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area. Ithaca, Cortland, Cornell University, and the Finger Lakes are all approximately 15–20 minutes from the hotel, making Groton a convenient home base for university visits, weekend getaways, outdoor adventures, and exploring the region.
Does the hotel have an elevator?
No. The Groton Hotel does not have an elevator. Please keep this in mind when making your reservation. If you have mobility concerns or require a lower-floor room, we encourage you to contact us in advance so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.
Do you offer traditional front-desk check-in?
Our standard check-in process is self check-in. If you require assistance or would prefer a different arrangement, please contact us in advance and we’ll be happy to discuss your needs.
